The
Danny Boy Syndrome (DBS), as described by doctors of the mind, implies a certain degree of utter denial that is, nonetheless, based on complete conscience of the situation at hand. Its structure is remarkably textbook in most cases observed. The pursuit of happiness is looked upon as purely theoretical. Hence, the notion of the impossibility of love ends up softening the blow which, at the end, is inevitable. The choice of loved one is, therefore, intentional in its failure, as awareness of the prospective pain makes it eventually easier to overcome. On the other hand, most DBS patients conceded, it is basically the quest for stuff to do with your eyes.
